Context of the role
Pollet Water Group (PWG) is undergoing a major ERP migration from Axapta (AX3) and Excel to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management. With around 30 legal entities and roughly 120,000 articles, reliable master data is an absolute condition for a successful go-live and for day-to-day operations afterwards.
The MDM team safeguards the quality of article, supplier, price and customer master data. An ideal entry-level role for someone who wants to build an analytical, structured career in data governance and ERP.
The analyst is the person who, day in and day out, is responsible for the quality, consistency and completeness of master data
Purpose of the role
As a Analyst, you help ensure that master data within D365 and AX3 remains correct, complete and consistent across all companies.
You create or approve new or changed data according to established standards, safeguard consistency across all companies (legal entities), and act as the first point of contact for Key-users and the business whenever questions or issues arise regarding master data in D365 or AX3.
Key responsibilities
- Day-to-day data management: Create, approve, validate and correct new or changed records (e.g. articles, suppliers, price agreements, ,… )
- Data quality oversight: actively monitor completeness, accuracy and consistency of master data across all ±30 legal entities
- Governance & standards: safeguard the established data standards and definitions and help refine them together with the BPO and Data Owner where needed.
- Duplicate management: identify, analyse and structurally resolve duplicates and data quality issues.
- Point of contact for the business: answer questions from Key-users, Product/Category Managers and other colleagues about master data and escalate where needed.
- Collaboration with IT: work closely with the IT for imports, access rights and the technical aspects of data structures in D365 or AX3.
Profile
Required qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field: business economics, commercial sciences, (applied) computer science, data science, supply chain, or equivalent through experience.
- Work experience: No professional experience required. A first internship or student job in a data or ERP environment is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Analytical thinking : You think in a logical, structured way.
- Accuracy: You work precisely: with 120,000 articles, small errors add up to a large impact.
- Excel: Good command of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch; good command of English (international reporting and documentation).
- Eagerness to learn: Willingness to build a thorough understanding of AX3,D365, MDM tools and governance processes; guidance is provided.
- Communication: You can clearly communicate findings to other colleagues, including those without a technical background.
Nice to have (not required)
- First exposure to Power BI, SQL or other data analysis tools.
- Interest in, or first experience with, ERP systems (D365, SAP, Axapta or similar).
- Affinity with data governance, quality management or process documentation.
- Interest in the B2B distribution sector or technical product data.
