As the R&D Engineer, you will conduct scientific investigations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help commercial enterprises of PWG to provide promising and validated solutions to handle water treatment challenges. This role requires combining technical knowledge, hands-on experimentation, and commercial insight future-proof to drive innovation and deliver results.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and execute independent investigation, including desktop, lab-scale, and field studies, to evaluate and validate the performance of water treatment technologies based on commercial requirements (sister companies, end users, and suppliers).
- Collaborate with business/product managers to formulate the best testing protocol, and analyze and interpret test results, providing commercially relevant and scientifically validated insights for product development and optimization by comparing with state-of-the-art technologies.
- Work closely with product managers to enhance and optimize the performance of existing products, ensuring alignment with market and business needs.
- Prepare clear and detailed technical documentation, including test reports, technology assessments, and presentations, to facilitate knowledge transfer within the organization and to external stakeholders.
- Provide expert technical support to internal teams and affiliated companies, addressing complex inquiries related to water treatment technologies and products.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in water treatment to continuously inform and innovate R&D’s team efforts. You will also build a strong network with suppliers to attract and transfer new and innovative solutions to the group.
- Champion the company’s sustainability initiatives by helping develop and implement eco-friendly practices and solutions in water treatment.
Profile
- You have a Master’s degree in Water Science and Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Having 1 or 2 years of R&D experience in an academic or industrial setting, involving tasks such as designing experiments, developing methodologies, reporting, and interpreting scientific results, will be considered a significant advantage. Relevant internships are also welcomed.
- You understand the fundamentals of water treatment technologies (Softening, Membrane filtration, Ion exchange, Adsorption, advanced oxidation etc) and their practical applications.
- You are fluent in business-level English, both written and oral, and can communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- You are skilled in project management, teamwork, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- You are motivated to expand your hands-on knowledge of water treatment methods and their commercial applications.
