About the job
As a Production Manager at Delta Water Engineering, you will be responsible for managing the production floor where water softeners are assembled. This consists of 2 injection molding machines (manned by 1 operator) and several assembly lines, manned by about 15 operators and 3 supervisors from the custom work company “De Brug”.
- You will ensure the daily management of our production infrastructure, processes, and work instructions.
- You will create the production schedule in collaboration with the Supply Chain Leader.
- You will monitor production-related metrics and KPIs, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost, and take action where necessary.
- You will ensure quality tests are conducted in close cooperation with our Quality Leader and production operator.
- You will promote our LEAN and Continuous Improvement culture on the work floor by conducting 5S audits and identifying and executing improvement projects.
- You will be part of the Operations team and report to the Operations Manager.
Profile
- You have a bachelor’s level of thinking or equivalent through experience.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a production context.
- You have technical affinity and are willing to delve into our products.
- You are close enough to the work floor to step in where necessary and are not afraid to get your hands “dirty.”
- You get energy from firefighting and coaching your (indirect) team.
- You have knowledge of LEAN processes and inspire others to think along in them.
